Perhaps the most popular marine port ever built, Gray Enterprises ports were used on many production sailboats in the 1980's and 1990's and are still in use today. The life span of these ports can easily exceed 20 years and they remain a tremendous value.

Do you have Gray Ports?

There are three brands of plastic ports found on sailboats and they look almost identical at first glance. Start by looking at the frame inside the cabin. A Gray Enterprises port will have Gray Enterprises, Tampa, Florida stamped on the bottom side.

If you find the name PYHI or Beckson you do NOT have a Gray port and these parts will not fit.

Next, check the lens. A Gray port lens will have a "frame" around it. Also look at the hinges: the hinge on the right accepts a larger pin than the hinge on the left (when looking at the cabin side).

If your port matches these criteria the parts listed below will fit.

Sizing guide

Open the port and measure the lens from outside edge to outside edge. Match the dimensions to those described below. All products in the row will fit that port. Just click the link to purchase.

Gasket sizes

Gasket is used to make a water tight seal where the lens closes onto the port frame. Two sizes were used: the 1/4" gasket is found on the discontinued PYHI ports and older Gray ports made in the early-80's. The 3/8" size (see below) has a "T" profile and self-adhesive (that's the red strip in the photo) and was used on Gray ports made from the early-80's to present. Get the right spigot

The term spigot refers to the part that goes through the fiberglass and extends beyond it to the outside.

Angled spigot: The lip of the port angles down toward the deck. If the spigot type is not specified it is a straight spigot.

Straight drain: Includes drain holes to help remove standing water from outside the lens.

Angled drain: Includes drain holes to help remove standing water from outside the lens.

Check the dogs (knobs) first

Check your dogs (knobs) to see if the have a brass insert inside. If so, you will need to replace both the dog and the stainless steel pin. If the threads inside the dog are stainless, the dogs listed will fix your existing pins.

Complete ports

Complete ports come with everything: the port body, lens, trim ring, screen, and gasket. Installation adhesive is not included.
